One way The Light of the World Ministries shines the light of Jesus in West Africa is by supporting widows. We do this through teaching the Bible and providing financial support that is needed for job skills training. Many of the women we serve became widows during the Ebola crisis in 2014, much like the children in our orphanages. Please keep them in your prayers, you are making a difference!
The widows' ministry has a large vocational center in Waterloo. They are helping the defenseless know Jesus and gain the skills needed to survive. The mayor of the Western Rural District has approached the women asking if they would expand and minister to the destitute in the area. This is a huge testament to their character and hard work.
The widow's ministry in Waterloo, Sierra Leone has new sewing machines!
Their fashion classes teach dress making and batik.
100 widows help run this school in support of their mission to create disciples, minister to the vulnerable and teach job skills.
